SUPPORT FACILITIES AND CORE CAPABILITIES

ATAP's process includes "just-in-time" manufacturing / re-manufacturing. This allows us to meet the demands of assembly line production requirements. Our support sections are set-up to augment our production lines.

SHEET METAL AND FABRICATION SECTION

Our sheet metal and fabrication operations support both new manufacture and repairs from the production line. This allows us to localize our equipment and maximize operations. Our sheet metal and fabrication section comprises approximately 2,000 Ft².

WELDING SECTION

The foundation of any welding shop is the performance of quality workmanship. All ATAP welders are certified by the American Welding Society Standard B2.1/AWSD D1.1. ATAP maintains the proper equipment and expertise to produce quality craftsmanship. Our Welding section comprises approximately 4,100 Ft² including a controlled environment clean room for aluminum and stainless steel welding.

MEDIA AND COATINGS OPERATIONS

ATAP's media capabilities include four booths, each large enough to blast a vehicle 40 feet in length. This capability allows ATAP to support all plant operations mitigating backlogs. Our five paint booths are all updraft booths with paint mist removal systems. Our booths meet EPA standards, and are designed to exceed OSHA regulations for both fire and personnel safety. Our booths are equipped with sufficient preheat capabilities to maintain the ideal temperature range of 60° to 90°. Our largest booth supports all production efforts, and is large enough to paint a vehicle 40 feet in length. ATAP's paint facilities comprise 11,200 Ft².

MACHINE SHOP

ATAP's machine shop is designed as a back shop operation, and is tooled to support our production line. The equipment in this section is designed to support low quantities precision machining. This section is equipped with a variety of equipment such as milling machines, lathes, drill presses, grinders, saws, etc. We maintain a variety of tools, jigs, and measuring instruments to support our operations. Our machine shop comprises approximately 2,000 Ft².

NDI CAPABILITY

ATAP's Quality Assurance Department performs all nondestructive inspections for ATAP's operations. We currently have five personnel certified to perform NDI inspections ranging from level I through level III. ATAP has the capability to perform dye penetrant, and magnaflux, both Y-6 and Y-7.

SALES AND SUPPORT

ATAP has been recognized by DSCC and DSCR for many years for our support to our customers. ATAP has won the Gold, Silver, and Bronze awards for best value over the past several years from both Defense Supply Center Richmond, and Defense Supply Center Columbus. ATAP maintains an extensive OEM/Vendor relationship and parts inventory. Currently, ATAP has over 60,000 line items available to support our depot operations and sales and support our remanufactured products.
